MacBook Mini : Leak/Photoshop

Introducing what we very much hope will be a new addition to the apple family. There have been rumours about a lightweight netbook from Apple for a long time, many think it would be a sensible expansion of Apples current line up.

Analyists see the device as both a smaller version of Apples MacBook, but also with the addition of a touch screen it could function similarly to the iPhone and iPod touch with multitouch gestures.

Mac OS X 10.5.7 Imminent

Apple have been busy plugging holes and fixing faults with Leopard. On Thursday March 12th, Apple gave developers a pre-release version of the latest update of OS X, version 10.5.7. Rumors have it that this update will come bundled with an updated version of Adobe’s Flash player alongside other bug fixes.

iPhone 3.0 Software Update

Hi, I’m Sam and i’ll be ranting about all things Apple. I thought i’d start with a hot topic right now…

iPhone 3.0 software has been released to developers, and was showcased in typical Apple fashion on March 17th 2009 despite a distinct lack of Steve Jobs! This software promises iPhone and iPod Touch users over 100 new features and is due to be released this summer.

Macafee – Yet Another Reason Why They Suck Ass

McRApee Ok, for those of you who don’t know, I’ve just started at Bournemouth University. Lovely place. Went to use good ol portable apps, when I get a report of a trojan on my usb. Needless to say, the university foolishly chose Macafee, when they could of chosen Kaspersky! Anyway, so the exe it flagged was the ultra handy usb ejector app I reviewed a while ago. Clearly this isn’t a trojan!

Not only did it detect, but it also AUTO DELETED THE FREAKIN EXE! SERIOUSLY! One not so happy guy. So I marched over to the IT tech support desk, and told them how crap Macafee was, and how I’d hack the system to show how crap it was and then replace it with Kaspersky and then… ARG! (or rather told them it reported a false positive). They said there was nothing they could do. So naturally one would assume reporting the false positive to Macafee would be easy, right? WRONG! Now Lets find out why it should be spelt MaCRAPe
