Well its (it was…) that time of year when the weathers all hot and sticky (Well it should be, crappy british weather). You’re sat in your room (probably in front of your pc) and youve left your window open. Well chances are something is gonna fly in and pester you, so what do you do to stop that? You close your window but then you have to put up with the heat.
Even when the window is closed those sneaky little pain-in-the-arses still manage to get into your room and fly around like a retard hitting the walls, your monitor and in my case, my face.
Well now its time for revenge! In a maplin near you a tennis racquet shaped bug zapper is available to you for a fair price of 10 pounds!! This lethal weapon (to all bugs) delivers a high voltage charge to the moth in question. Instantly stunning the bastard. You either somehow pick it up and throw it outside OR continue frying the damn thing till smoke appears (the smoke smells nasty). Now i tried to measure the voltage of this thing and it blew the fuse on my multimeter (my multimeter measures up to 1000v and yes its the amps that matter not the voltage… but i didn’t bother) so yeah i wouldn’t recommend shocking yourself though it wouldn’t kill you it would still bloody hurt… (trust me even 300 volts got me running up and down like a spastic).
There are two types, the one which uses batteries and a rechargeable one. Chances are you’ll pick up the battery operated one. They come in a few colours so take your pick!!
so what are you waiting for? Go get one and kick some moth ass (or their equivalent of an arse)!
Should you not have a local Maplin, it is avaliable on iwoot.com.
Final Note: Do not use this on wasps, its stuns them for a bit but then they get really pissy… so yeah prepare to run if you use one on a wasp!
